    Hackers not Crackers

Eric Steven Raymond has authored an extremely interesting and informative article entitled How To Become A Hacker. Well worh a read!

Eric also makes an important distinction in the preamble to this (excellent) article, "Hackers build things, crackers break them".

As a person who has dedicated his life to learning and to solving economic performance problems... I LOVE "The Hacker Attitude" as defined by Eric:

    1. The world is full of fascinating problems waiting to be solved.
    2. No problem should ever have to be solved twice.
    3. Boredom and drudgery are evil.
    4. Freedom is good.
    5. Attitude is no substitute for competence.
    Oh Joy!
